American history of slavery

The world’s history shows slavery started since primitive times. With the rapid changes in development of the New World, slavery solved the crisis of manual labor requirements. At that time lands were expanding at a very high rate and the economies depending upon the trade. The land lords needed huge number of labor for sowing crops and such as sugar cane, rice, cotton, tobacco and indigo. As the law of economics worked and the finding of cheapest labor were sought in slavery and America became its booming industry. The Africans generally and the people living in west coast were known for their physical strength and ability to work strenuously under harsh conditions. The exporting of manpower was started from this area.

Slave auctions were going to take place and mostly Europeans began to work on it and sometimes they kidnap them for an auction, At this stage, we can say that a slave trade started officially. In exchange of slaves they accepted whiskey, glass, ivory and guns as payment. It was the period of early 1619 when the slavery started in America. The growing economies demanded greater crop productions and the demand became higher for slavery and at that time the White masters suppressed Africans by starvation, ill treatment and sometimes even by killing them so, we find that these African slaves showed much courage in them and they started revolting in different ways.

Many slaves fled into the hilly areas in order to escape the cruelty, they were treated with. They were called Maroons, they lived away and fed off what naturally found over there. However, the movements for liberty started, freedom and democracy became the main object of African American slaves. They started fighting against a system that was not delivering basic human rights.

A long and bitter movement for freedom was started and a number of American leaders began to fight against a rigid system and after all they succeeded in getting the results in the change of system and now America is practicing a free nation system. We can say that, a nation that accepts diverse races religion and creeds. African Americans are enjoying and excelling together.
