Permian-Triassic Extinction

Perm, also known as the great dying is an event that took place somewhere around 250 million years old. Geologists and environmental scientists call the Permian Triassic, the mother of all extinction events, which lasted on earth ever. This natural disaster caused the extinction of marine species and 95% to 70% of terrestrial vertebrate species. The more detailed field research, have their only event known to have suppressed the disappearance of various species of insects. Date not yet confirmed that at the time of the Permian Triassic extinction occurred. Some scientist’s debate is that lasted about 500 million years, while some believe that it dates back 250 million years.

Perm was a sudden event and its effect lasted up to 70,000 years ago. Permian Triassic life after the tragedy was hard to live. The event was a natural bomb exploded and made many creatures disappear. The recovery took more than 10 million years and survived the tragedy species are species that remain before the world. Plant life was most affected. In many areas, species have been removed and marine life also changed course. Rivers change their course and the fungus was dominated by the planet due to the large number of extinct animals and plants. Fossil records have shown that the extinction event time-line was very short, rather than gradually, what happens over a longer period of time.

What does the Perm

While there is still a big debate about what must have caused the Permian. Scientists have come a lot of theories, even from an alien invasion to a meteor crashing into the Earth’s surface. I have some possible causes are listed, and one of them could be a possible cause of Perm.

Or Gondwana glaciation
Some geologists believe that icing may have caused this tragic event. This condition is also responsible for the ecological crisis saw Ordovician and Devonian. Scientists believe global warming is the effect of the ice a threat to all living beings on this planet today.

Pangea Formation
Another theory is that the Permian suits by the formation of Pangea. He said that when Pangea was formed, there was a massive reduction in the shallow continental shelf. Such a drastic change in the oceanic continental shelf would gradually turn into an ecological competition for space and would probably be driven to extinction.

Rapid climate change
Meteorologists who have studied the application of the Permian-Triassic extinction event that cause climate change is often great dying. Researchers have evidence of significant cooling and drying in sediments was found different.

Volcanism
Potential ultimate cause seems to be basaltic volcanic eruptions in Siberia. These large quantities of volcanic eruptions sulpahtes emitted into the atmosphere. Found evidence in China say that these volcanic eruptions could tons of explosives and clouds of ash have created in the atmosphere. This ash cloud could have drastically affected the atmosphere and may have triggered the Permian.

Unlike volcanoes erupt as lava, people have discussed the lack of oxygen (lack of oxygen in the water), the main cause of the Permian. There are a lot of discussions about what was the cause of anoxia, but these waters without oxygen toxicity to marine species, which eventually lead them to their death. I hope this article on what was the Permian was the resource. Scientists have not yet thought it was the exact cause of such a catastrophic event, but new opportunities are added daily, which further complicates the picture. I think I’ll never know what caused the tragedy of the Permian.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in Safari. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
