Functions of Management
Planning, is the process of streamlining the objectives in any project and determining the way that how the project is done. Make strategies, and directions in the light of environment.
Organization, is the process to assigning tasks, duties, allocating resources and arranging all the activities to complete the plan.
Leading, is the process of arousing enthusiasm and directing human resources and efforts toward the project and organizational goals. In the projects,the most common problems arise from people in terms of their desires, attitudes and behavior. Human behavior will not be forecast because of their consistent changes.
Leadership implies follower-ship and people tend to follow those who offer means of satisfying their own needs, desires, and attitudes.
Controlling is the process of measuring performance and taking actions to ensure desired results in any project. It involves measuring and directing the individual as well as doing organizational performance to ensure that events conform to plans.
Controlling facilities accomplishment of plans. There are three basic factors that are involves in Controlling, these are as under:
1-Management should establish standards of performance.
2-Performance should be assessed periodically and information should be updated that indicated deviation between actual versus the established standard.
3-Action should be taken to correct performance that does not conform to the standards.
